I've never seen a painting that so beautifully captures a winter lakeshore frozen like a mirror, with hoarfrost shining so vividly!
It was created by first applying a light-sensitive substance and then adding color, I heard.
The scenery of the lakeshore, so crisp and clear it seems to cleanse your very heart, feels as though I could hear the clear chime of a bell ringing from under the eaves of a deep mountain temple.
Moved by this, I find myself rummaging through faded photos from over decades ago, taken in Erdaobaihe, Yanji.
