After a few days of staying in, I ventured out and found the streets frozen over, forcing me to walk at a turtle's pace.

Having fallen hard several times unexpectedly as I’ve aged, scenes of those falls replay in my mind, making me instinctively tense up.

My mind, however, remains relatively young.
When I come across a painting or photograph that captures my heart, my pulse immediately races without hesitation.

And that happened again this morning.
The moment I faced Stuart Davis's kaleidoscope-like abstract works, bursting with color, my heart began to pound.

But, as it turns out, others don't seem to feel the same way.
