The Story of the Tower of Babel
This famous painting by Pieter Bruegel shows the Tower of Babel from the Bible.
In the Bible, people tried to build a tower that reached the sky because of their pride.
Bruegel painted the tower to look like the Roman Colosseum to show it might fall down.
If you look closely, the tower is a bit tilted and looks very dangerous.
God saw their pride and changed their languages so they could not understand each other.
The tower was never finished, and the people scattered all over the world.
