🫐🍇🍆 Enjoying Music Beyond language.

Today, I want to talk about a simple but interesting question:
How can we enjoy music even when we don’t understand the lyrics?

I personally enjoy many different kinds of music.
I don’t limit myself to one genre.

Especially, I realized something important while listening to Lee Seung-yeol’s World Music Journey radio program, or “세계음악기행” in Korean.

Even though I could not understand the lyrics at all, I found myself deeply immersed in the music.
It was beautiful and emotionally powerful.
Why does this happen?

First, music is not only about words.
It is also about sound, rhythm, and emotion.

Even if we don’t understand the lyrics, we can feel the mood of the song.
A slow melody can feel sad.
A fast beat can feel exciting.
Our brain reacts to these patterns naturally.

Second, pronunciation and vocal tone play an important role.
When a singer’s pronunciation is smooth and natural, the song feels more real and emotional.
Even if we don’t understand the meaning, we can still feel sincerity.
The voice itself becomes an instrument.

A good example is the Spanish singer Rosalía.
She has sung songs using many different languages—sometimes said to be 13 languages.
Her pronunciation is not always perfect, but people around the world still feel deeply moved by her music.

Why? Because she uses rhythm, tone, and emotion very effectively.
This shows that perfect language is not always necessary.
What really matters is how the sound and feeling are delivered.

Third, modern music listening has changed.
In the past, people focused more on lyrics and meaning.
But today, especially with streaming platforms, people focus more on the overall feeling of the music.
Rhythm, vibe, and atmosphere are often more important than understanding every word.

Finally, music is a universal language.
It connects people beyond culture and language.
We don’t always need to understand words to feel something deeply.

In conclusion,
I can enjoy music without understanding the lyrics because music speaks through emotion, sound, and human expression.

Even listening to the instrumental music without lyrics, we are impressed enough.
