I started drinking coffee when I was in the 9th grade.
Back then, I had a wealthy friend who lived in a two-story house.
Whenever we gathered at her place late at night to study, she would always serve us sweet, delicious iced coffee filled with ice.
We would drink coffee, listen to late-night music programs, chat for hours… and before we knew it, we had fallen asleep.
That was the beginning of my relationship with coffee.
As I grew older, coffee became part of my daily life.
When I went on dates, we usually met at coffee shops—or “dabang,” as they were called back then—and I enjoyed trying all kinds of coffee.
My favorite was Vienna coffee—hot coffee topped with sweet, soft whipped cream.
These days, I sometimes see a similar
drink called “Einspänner.”
I never really paid much attention to tea, and in my younger days, I often drank several cups of coffee a day.
But starting last year, because of sleep issues, I began to cut down.
First to two cups a day, and now I follow a simple routine: one cup of black coffee after breakfast, and one cup of decaffeinated stevia coffee after lunch.
I guess as I get older, the way I enjoy coffee is growing older with me too.
