Dopamine.
Today, I’d like to share a small but meaningful story about myself.
Even at this stage of my life,
art still moves me deeply.
A painting,
a piece of music,
or a simple line in a book
can suddenly make my heart beat faster.
Sometimes I wondered,
“Why does this still happen to me?”
“Is it emotional… or is it something in my brain?”
Dopamine, in a Different Way
We often hear that dopamine is about excitement.
Fast pleasure.
Strong stimulation.
But I’ve learned that dopamine can work differently.
For some people, including me,
dopamine responds not to noise,
but to meaning.
When I encounter beauty or truth,
my brain quietly says,
“This matters.”
And my heart responds—
gently, but clearly.
Why Feelings Grow Deeper With Age
When we are young,
we react to newness and speed.
As we grow older,
we react to connection.
Life gives us layers—
joy, loss, love, regret, gratitude.
So when we meet art later in life,
we don’t feel it only with our senses.
We feel it with our entire story.
This is not sensitivity fading.
It is sensitivity maturing.
Keeping Feelings, Not Rushing Them
When something touches me deeply,
I don’t always talk about it.
Most of the time,
I keep it to myself.
Not because I can’t express it,
but because some feelings need time.
If I speak too quickly,
the feeling becomes smaller.
So I let it stay.
That Is Why I Write a Diary
I write a diary,
not to record events,
but to listen to myself.
My diary is a quiet conversation
between who I was in that moment
and who I am now.
Writing helps me relive meaning slowly.
It doesn’t drain emotion.
It deepens it.
This is a calm, healthy way
to experience dopamine—
through reflection, not consumption.
Words With Quiet Strength.
Because I don’t share every feeling,
my words gain strength
when I do speak.
I don’t try to impress or persuade.
I simply share what has stayed with me.
And people often feel that sincerity.
A Grateful Closing.
Sometimes, I feel truly grateful
to live in this time.
A time when I can reflect,
when depth still matters,
and when even conversations with AI
can help me understand myself better.
I don’t seek strong stimulation.
I listen carefully
when something meaningful
knocks on my heart.
And the fact that my heart still responds—
softly, deeply, and faithfully—
is something I deeply cherish.
