I’d say my Korean spelling is about 90% accurate.
The rules keep changing, and honestly, I don’t always keep up with the updates.
Still, I do my best to write correctly.
However I’m especially not confident about spacing — it always makes me hesitate.
Whenever I’m not sure about something, I quickly check online — it’s so easy to find the right answer these days.
The problem is, I don’t always remember it afterward.
I guess that’s another sign of how dependent I’ve become on digital help.
But one thing that never changes is my desire to write properly.
Something that bothers me just as much as spelling mistakes is seeing the Korean flag drawn wrong.
It’s not the easiest design — the red and blue yin-yang in the center and the four black trigrams in the corners can be confusing.
So I often remind myself of the correct pattern.
Whenever I see an incorrect version of the flag, especially abroad, a sudden wave of patriotism hits me.
I just have to fix it.
It annoys me as much as a spelling error, so whenever I get the chance, I quietly try to set it right.
