The Sixth Mass Extinction!

It was strange at first that not many people were paying attention to the warnings about the sixth mass extinction of life on Earth, which is happening in the not-too-distant future, but now I understand.
Everyone is so absorbed in their immediate concerns, living without even the slightest bit of room to look ahead.
Like ants rushing towards a lump of sugar...
So, just as in the days of Noah, when people went about their daily lives, unaware until the very last moment before they were submerged and perished in the flood...
Now, I think I can understand...
