A Small Wish Finally Fulfilled

Whenever I walked along mountain trails and came across bright red wild raspberries hanging from the bushes, I felt as if I had discovered little jewels. They always looked so tempting and inviting.
Yet, despite my age, I realized that I had never really sat down and enjoyed wild raspberries properly.
So today, for the first time, I bought a box of fully ripened red raspberries and savored them to my heart's content.
They weren't sour, but they weren't exceptionally sweet either.
There was something about the flavor that felt just a little incomplete—perhaps about five percent short of what I had imagined.
Still, now that I've finally experienced buying and eating wild raspberries, I can happily check that off my list.
Next time, I think I'll buy a generous amount of mulberries and enjoy those instead.
Even now, a small trace of the financial hardship I experienced in my younger years remains somewhere in the corner of my heart.
Because of that, there were many little things I hesitated to buy or try, even when I wanted to.
But from now on, whenever something catches my eye, I want to stop hesitating and simply go for it.
Some things may be small and ordinary, but they are still worth experiencing while I can.
