Talking about men and women at this stage of life can feel a bit cliché, so I’d like to begin from a slightly different angle.
Recently, I’ve been reading Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari.
While many people focus on his sharp insights as a global thinker, what caught my attention was something more personal—his confident, everyday life with his husband, Itzik Yahav.
The way they live together feels natural and unshaken.
It made me realize how strong and stable life can become when you truly accept who you are.
They are not just a couple, but also known as great partners who support each other’s careers.
From a scientific point of view, sexual orientation is not something people simply choose.
It is more like a kind of blueprint, shaped before birth by the timing of brain development and exposure to hormones.
In the complex environment of the womb, the brain’s wiring can develop in slightly different ways.
Before we understood this, many young people suffered deeply just for being who they were.
Some were rejected, and sadly, some even lost their lives.
I have seen cases like this around me, which makes it all the more heartbreaking.
That is why I believe we should not judge too quickly.
Instead, we can try to understand more—both scientifically and humanly—and let go of prejudice.
If we do that, perhaps we can create a world where everyone feels accepted and can live with confidence and dignity.
