Small Things Like These.

I watched a movie called 'Small Things Like These'.

Around this time last year, on a snowy day, I also visited Cinecube, and now, before I knew it, another year has flown by.

The movie is based on a novel inspired by the true story of human rights abuses committed for decades under the name of the Magdalene Catholic Asylum in the mid-1900s.

I found some relief in its open-ended conclusion.
It allowed each viewer to imagine the complex and suffocatingly painful stories the protagonist and their family would have faced afterward, letting me step away from the movie at that point.

I’m leaning more toward the belief in the inherent evil of humanity.

Looking at the state of affairs in our country, it seems true.
Even in a recent trot audition program, the selfishness of the audience is appalling—they refuse to press the score button no matter how brilliantly contestants sing, simply because the performer isn’t the one they’re a fan of.

I find them detestable and believe they no longer deserve the right to judge."
