Today on Morning Special, an interesting topic was discussed: the essential relationship between language and thought. Historically, the linguist Noam Chomsky has confidently asserted that language and thought are inherently connected. However, one of his students has developed a counter-theory using advanced technology.

This theory might also change with more advanced science in the future, but this is its current stance. The true cognitive insight provides a unique and sparkling joy that is incomparable to anything else. Even though the result isn't from my own efforts and is simply an answer I've obtained from someone else in a field I'm extremely curious about, it still brings great satisfaction.

So, it turns out that even aphasia patients can play chess and solve math problems!
